Four year old NGDCH AmFC GFC DC GCH Turning Points Shenanigans (Shandi) took off on brace 1 of the 2019 National Open Gun Dog Championship and never looked back. She had several stylish finds and a forward pattern that had judges Bruce Conover and Brian Gingrich sitting on the edge of their saddles. Shandi was the only dog posted on day one, setting the standard for future braces to strive for. Shandi was expertly handled by Bob Burchett of Burchett’s Bird Dogs and scouted by the always reliable, eagle-eyed Tommy Thomas. When the championship was over placements followed soon after. Shandi was announced as the champion which brought tears of disbelief and pride from owner Julie Nelson.  47 of the top dogs in the country ran in the 2019 Open Gun Dog Championships in Booneville, AR, and Turning Point Brittanys is humbled and honored that one of our own came home as champion. Way to go Shandi! Congratulations to the other dogs, owners and handlers who placed. We look forward to seeing you all again next year!
